I’ll be the first to tell you that I am terrible at cut creases, however, inspired by my new diamante choker and glitter eyeliner, I thought I’d have another go – practice makes perfect, doesn’t it?
I quickly did my base with Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Ivory and L’Oreal Infallible 24 Hour Foundation in Porcelain. I then did a slight contour using my new Rimmel x Kate Moss sculpting palette (which comes free when you spend £9 on Rimmel at Boots), to contour the hollows of my cheeks and bridge of my nose, highlight my cheekbones, and add a pop of colour on the apples of my cheeks. I have to say I’ve been really loving this palette this week.
For my brows, I used my trusty £1.99 brow gel from Natural Collection and Freedom Brow Pomade (£5). These are my go-to products that I will always repurchase and the brow pomade has lasted me a good 6 months, if not more, and there’s still plenty left!
For my eyes, I used the Rimmel x Kate sculpting palette highlighter as a base colour as it’s really warm and shimmery – the only think I will say is that there can be quite a lot of fall out, so pat your brush as opposed to sweeping it.
I then used my Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette in the shade ‘Love Letter’ above my crease, making it more pigmented on the outer edge and blending inward. Then I used my Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer on my lids with a Real Techniques concealer brush to create a sharp line on the crease to make Love Letter sit on a clean line.
Then I went in with my Collection ‘Glam Crystals’ glitter eyeliner and followed the crease line. As I said in my ‘Outfit Of The Day’ post at the weekend, this liner is so pigmented and full of glitter, leaving no sparse areas at all, just one solid glitter line.
I went back in with the Rimmel x Kate highlighter shade on the lid where I had used concealer, and also swept it over my brow bone to highlight.
No cut crease is fully complete without a winged liner (in my opinion), so I used my Rimmel Glam Eyes liquid liner, which has bristles as an applicator for a more precise line, to complete a dramatic wing. Finally I completed the shadow look with some more Love Letter below the lower lash line for an added pop of colour, and some Benefit Roller Lash mascara.
For my lips is used my MAC Cosmetics liner in ‘Spice’ along with the ‘Velvet Teddy’ lipstick with a touch of Sleek’s Matte Me in Birthday Suit for a little mattification.
The finishing touches to the look was a streak of glitter liner down the centre of my bottom lip and then a dash of highlighter from the Sleek Solstice palette, using a mixture of the three powder shades on my nose, cheek bones and cupids bow.
So here is the finished look:
