Birchbox Unboxing: July

After months and months of Glossybox, I decided to switch it up and try Birchbox for a little while! There was a 50% off your first box promotion on that I just couldn’t resist, so I only paid £5 for the box, plus postage.

The actual box is smaller than a Glossybox but you actually get more products. I love how it opens, and if the other boxes are the same, i’d like to stack them and use them as drawers for my makeup or stationary. In this box, there are six super cute products.

Benefit Cosmetics Lip and Cheek Tint ‘Chacha’ RRP £25.50

Two shades were available and Birchbox ask which you’d prefer. The other option was ‘Gogo’, a more pink shade, however I went for the more orangey colour for my because I think it will suit my lips better. You literally pop a little on your lips or cheeks and dab it with your fingers to blend. The size of the sample is 2.5ml, so is great to pop in your purse for a flush of colour through the day.

Birchbox Eyebrow Brush RRP £1.99

Who doesn’t need one of these? It has a really nice sized handle, and the bristles are a really good size and density to tame the wildest of brows.

POP Beauty Eyeshadow Trio ‘Champagne Mocha’ RRP £15.50

These three shimmery nudes are great for an easy makeup look – literally as easy as one, two, three. There’s a beautiful transition shade, a mid shade and a dark to create a gorgeous smokey look with very little effort.  The only thing I don’t like is the brush that comes with these types of palettes, they just don’t do anything for me.

Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo RRP £20

Damn that is one expensive bottle of dry shampoo, as I normally pay £2-3 for Batiste. It’s described as ‘a shot of espresso for your hair’ and good god it better be for the price! The packaging I LOVE; it’s so colourful and funky it will brighten up any dressing table. I’m going to be taking this sample to YNOT this weekend to spruce my hair up!

Anatomicals Eucalyptus Foot Cream RRP £5.99

Anatomicals is such a cute little brand, and their packaging will always make you have a little giggle to yourself. This foot cream reads ‘For a less callus world, softening eucalyptus foot cream’ … get it… callus? It smells lovely and I’m going to be using this in the run up to my holiday so that I have super soft beach-ready feet.

Balance Me Flash Cleanse Micellar Water RRP £16

This micellar water is 99% naturals which is always good to know. You can never have too much skin care and this 30ml bottle is the perfect size for travelling. I’m not a huggeeeee fan of micellar waters, but this one smells of chamomile so I’m willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.

First impressions; Birchbox is a great little subscription box for just £12.75, and if you want 50% off your first box, then just follow my link here and sign right up! in August, they have Spectrum brushes for all! I’d sign up just for that!

Beff xx
