You Asked, I Answered

To be happy. To get married, have a puppy, be in a career in Journalism that I love and to surround myself with positivity.

What are your top 3 bands/artists?

You can’t make a music lover choose just THREE. But here are a few; David Bowie, Maximo Park, Oasis, Stereophonics, Jaws, Paramore, The Stone Roses, Catfish and The Bottlemen, The Enemy, The Smiths – You get the idea?

How many kids do you want if any?

Okay first up, I want a dog. If ever the time came and I did want a child, it would just be the one – but I don’t think I’m cut out for motherhood

Of course! Absolutely adore Chris Hollingworth, who has taught me more about photography than a-level photography. Absolute star. Also a massive fan of BehindEdsLens and Chap In The Hat who are often supporting the local music scene at festivals like Lymelight. Mark Vsye is another local music photographer and phenomenal moustache grower. Definitely check out their work.

Who is your blogging inspiration?

I can never really recall reading a particular persons blog and thinking ‘yes I wanna do this’; but I did often scroll through Instagram and seeing beautiful flat lays and scrolling through Twitter and seeing ‘NEW POST’ and thought, ‘yeah, I want a slice of that’.

What is your all-time favourite lipstick?

I’d have to say MAC Velvet Teddy as it’s the first nude lipstick that actually suited me. It’s a beautiful formula, lasts all day and is super wearable for any occasion.

How do you manage your time? I struggle to get out just one post a week and you are publishing multiple engaging posts!

Once a month or so I’ll do a big brainstorm of blog ideas, then I’ll use my calendar to plan what I’ll post and when, and then use my weekly planner to plan when I will take the photos, write the blog and schedule it.

What made you choose Strawberry Blonde?

Firstly, my hair. It’s not exactly the flaming orange it was when I was a 3-year-old anymore; it’s faded to a more subtle Strawberry Blonde, but some days it still looks pretty red! Secondly, it’s my favourite song by The Subways – check it out.

One of Benefit’s brow products, either Brow Zings or Gimme Brow.

If money was no object – MAC as I don’t think I could live without their lip products. Considering money is an object though, Rimmel is a great drugstore brand with some fab ambassadors, like Kate Moss and Rita Ora, so I’d probably choose Rimmel.
