My Fave Timeless Tartan Scarves

It’s just about getting to that time of the year where you can stick on a snuggly little scarf, and once they’re out, they’re out to stay until around April time.  For me, tartan is my go-to pattern with scarves, they’re mega timeless and meg stylish. Here are my three favourite tartan scarves.

  1. The Burberry – Burberry made the tarten scarf a globally recognised luxury fashion statement. You’re looking at £350 for the real deal, but I bagged this vintage bargain for £4 at my favourite vintage shop, Sparrowhawk. I could buy 87 of these for the price of a real Burberry. You’ll often see the Burberry tartan scarf donned with Burberry’s classic trench coat, where you’re then looking at over £1,000. My trench is from Primark, with a thrifty price tag of £14. Nearly 100x less than Burberry. IMG_2552

  2. The Vibrant Red – This vibrant red tarten was huge in AW16, and it’s not going away. Having so many accents on the pattern makes it easy to wear with most colours. This one’s from Topman and was roughly £15 give or take a few quid. IMG_2564IMG_2562
  3. The Burgundy Beaut – Very similar in pattern to the bright red, this muted burgundy beauty from Dr Martens is my most worn and most loved. It’s super snug and the colours are what makes up 90% of my wardrobe so it goes with practically everything (in particular my ox blood docs). This one was £25 from the Dr. Martens shop (and a fabulous birthday present from my brother).

So that’s all the tarten scarves I own (so far), but because it’s so timeless, I’m definitely going to be adding some funkier colours into the collection, I have my eye on a mustard Dr. Martens one – could this be my next scarf splurge?

Beff xx
