A few months ago, I joined the site Influenster. A few other bloggers I know were receiving some amazing products complimentary from the site, so you can imagine how excited I was when I round out I’d be receiving a VoxBox. I was one of the lucky influencers to receive the latest Rimmel London VoxBox which included not one, not two, but eight products! I was literally gobsmacked.
I already use a few Rimmel products, including their Breathable foundation, Glam Eyes eyeliner, sculpting palette and stay matte liquid lipsticks, so I was excited to give these new ones a try.
The first product I pulled out made me giggle a little, since I’d already seen it at work and snapped it up as soon as I could. It’s the Ruby Crush red glitter nail polish (£3.99), which is a high coverage glitter so can be worn alone, or over the top of another colour. It was perfect for the festive season and I wore it all through December. The one thing I will say though, as with all glitter nail polishes, it was a buggar to remove.
Another product I’d spotted at work was the LipArt Lipgloss’ (£5.49). I kept saying to my colleague ‘I really want to try these, I’ll get some next month’, and alas, now I don’t need to! The shades in the VoxBox include Pearlescent, Gold and Blush Gold. These make some pretty awesome metallic effects on your lips, so I’ve been playing around a little with them.
Here is a cute party look I created by layering Gold over Mac ‘Oh Lady’.
The new Wonder’Fully Real Mascara (£7.99) was also in the box, which features a long, thin application which is really precise and easy to use. It both lengthens and volumises lashes and doesn’t feel cakey or clumpy in my opinion. This is definitely up there with my top 5 mascaras! Just see how it transformed my lashes!
I love a good winged liner and I’m still trying to find an eyeliner that I can’t fault. There’s always something I find wrong, be it the applicator, the consistency, the dry time… well, these Ink Me’s (£5.29) haven’t done me wrong yet! The applicator is long, thin and precise, it applies really easily, the dries quickly, it doesn’t transfer onto my hooded lids. I’m pretty bloody happy with them. The black liner will definitely get a lot of use and find its way into my every day makeup looks, whereas I think I’ll be able to create some funky, graphic looks with the gold!
Last but not least is the InkMeUp tattoos (£4.99), which aren’t really my thing, however, if I was going to a festival I’d probably whack a few on! They’re really pretty and dainty boho kind of designs so perfect for a bit of fun in summer.
I can’t wait to see if I’m chosen to do more VoxBox’s in the future, this one was an absolute dream! Massive thank you to Influenster!
