When Mel and I signed up for Florence, the first thing we thought about was ‘where’s the closest Sephora?’
We stumbled upon a mid-sized store in Florence train station before we caught the train to Pisa and had a little look around and there was a SALE! This is not good news for a lipstick addict!
You may have seen my Makeup Collection and Storage post where I went through some of my lip products, and needless to say, I didn’t need any more… but I DID need it. I needed them ALL.
We were looking at the Too Faced counter and Mel was after one of the Peaches and Cream palettes, but they didn’t have the one she wanted. I spotted a half price sign indicating that the Melted Latex glosses were 11€ instead of 22€! I swatched a few on my hand and decided to go for the deep, chocolatey nude ‘Strange Love’.
I then had a rummage through the sale boxes and bagged a Kat Von D Studded Kiss lippy in Vampira at 12€ down from 19€. As the name implies, it’s a dark, vampy shade with a matte finish. I’ve been wanting to try Kat’s lip products for ages with it being cruelty free and super badass. This has not disappointed me.
Lastly, not from Sephora, but I couldn’t not include it, is a MAC number from the airport. You may have seen in my What I’m Packing For Italy post that I was looking at buying a red Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour, however, they didn’t stock the shade I want. I still needed a beautiful red lipstick that I would feel sexy and confident wearing, and found this Lip Duo prices at £21.50. This included the lip liner ‘Follow Your Heart’ and matte lipstick Russian Red, a shade I’ve seen people rave about, so I was confident that it would look great. I’ve been really feeling the colour red recently (I mean, if you haven’t noticed on my insta feed), and this lipstick is my power colour.
All in all, I’d say it was a successful shopping trip and I’m just glad I left enough room in my liquids bag to bring them home!
