Summer Blues Gin Cocktail

Since having my Gin Masterclass alongside making my way through the list of local gin bars, I’ve decided to try my hand at mixology at home.

It’s easier than you think to make a bar-worthy masterpiece without having to leave the house. That’s providing you’ve got the good stuff in already.

I’ve called this one Summer Blues since the day I made it, it was a glorious sunny day and well, there are blueberries in it.

Summer Blues Ingredients:

Ice Cubes

Gordon’s London Dry Gin

Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic

Belvoir Blueberry and Blackcurrant Cordial

House of Broughton Simple Syrup

Blueberries

Start off by adding ice to your glass, swill it around a little to cool the glass. Then tip out any water that’s melted off the ice.

Add your gin and around 40ml of the Blueberry and Blackcurrant cordial. Top up with your Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic. Then, my not-so-secret ingredient is a dash (around 5ml) of the House of Broughton Simple syrup to just sweeten it up a little and take the bite out of the tonic.

I’ve never really thought about making my own cocktails at home but this sounds super easy and tasty. I love blueberries and I absolutely love gin so it’s a win win. x
