Is it just me, or has January felt about six months long? Between the post-holiday blues and the seemingly endless wait for payday, this month has truly been a test of patience. But the good news? The wait is finally over, and I, for one, think a *little treat* is in order.
This month, alongside the usual fashion and beauty picks, you’ll notice that a fair bit of my window shopping this month has been homeware-focused. That’s because Jake and I have had an offer accepted on a house (eek!).
Before I dive into what I’ve been eyeing up, I thought I’d share some of my current favourites that I already own, starting with Marks and Spencer’s range of graphic t-shirts. Their oversized tees are giving brands like Damson Madder and Ganni a run for their money, and are soft, stylish, and ridiculously comfy.
I kicked off the year with some health-related goals, which called for some new gym gear, of course. At the start of the year, I ordered this dreamy coffee coloured Adanola set which has been motivating me to get on the treadmill more. Super flattering and sculpting, it’s perfect for hitting the gym or lounging around the house – and pair beautifully with my Marshall Major IV headphones, which I’ve been using to blast the Hamilton soundtrack and 90s RnB hits during said workouts. The sound quality is like no other, but they look gorgeous, too.
On the beauty front, I’ve been enjoying trying out some new releases, and a surprising favourite has been the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Powder in the unusual lilac shade ‘Ube Birthday Cake’. The shade isn’t necessarily a go-to, but the blurring and brightening effect makes it easy to see why this product has become cult in the beauty industry. It’s definitely convinced me to pick up a more traditional shade in the future.
And finally, before I tell you all about my high street picks for January, the two items that haven’t left my side this month are my Papier diary and my CGD Daily Planner. The latter is amazing for day-to-day planning and productivity, while the former allows me to plan ahead and make note of important dates and upcoming events. Not to mention the fact they look incredibly chic together.
Okay, wishlist time. I’ve had so much fun creating Pinterest boards for every room in the new house. I mean, I’m getting a little ahead of myself, as even once we’re in, we’ve got a lot of renovating to do before we can even think about decorating. And the kitchen is one of the last jobs on the list, but I couldn’t help admiring these Damson Madder Ruffle Tea Towels. Made from 100% organic cotton, they cost £25 and feature playful leopard and bow prints with ruffled edges. They’re almost too pretty to use, but they’ll definitely brighten up my kitchen and look lovely hanging from the oven handle.
Oliver Bonas do the best glasses, and it was love at first sight with these Nell Stemless Champagne Flutes. The olive-green ball stems and scalloped rims give them a unique, vintage-inspired look. They’re perfect for celebratory toasts (like when we get our keys) or even just elevating a Friday night Prosecco. And speaking of a tipple, I can’t wait to source some funky artwork for the house and this Margarita print is a dream. Designed like a postage stamp, it has such a fun, retro charm that would look amazing in a kitchen or bar area.
I think it’s safe to say that every man and their dog are after the George Asda Leopard Puffer Coat. After it went viral on TikTok, I’ve been desperate to get my mitts on it, and have been informed by a member of staff to save the date for January 27. Priced at £38, the animal print puffer is giving major Ganni vibes, but at £587 cheaper. With a hood, elasticated cuffs, and shower-resistant fabric, it’s practical as well as fashionable, and frankly, an essential for my wardrobe.
Other fashion finds I’ve been coveting include this £24 Light Yellow Raglan Sleeve Cardigan from TU at Sainsbury’s, proving supermarket style really is killing it in 2025. This buttery-hued knit feels like a slice of sunshine in the middle of some pretty naff weather. It has a cosy, relaxed vibe, making it the perfect piece to throw on with jeans and my Adidas SL-72s for a laid-back but put-together look.
I blame Georgia Toffolo for this one. After spotting her wearing these Le Specs Outta Love Oval Sunglasses on Instagram, I’ve been obsessed. The oval shape flatters strong features, and the classic tan-and-beige combo makes them versatile enough to pair with anything. Plus, they’ll be ideal for those rare but glorious sunny winter days.
As a girl who spends 90% of her time in sleepwear, I’m swooning over these Dream Satin Printed Revere Pyjamas from Marks and Spencer. They’re £30 and have a playful and oh-so-on-trend bow design, and feature Cool Comfort and Cling Resist technology, so they’re not just pretty, but ensure an insanely comfortable night’s sleep, too.
And finally, I’m nearing the end of my favourite Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm and will be looking to restock in the coming weeks. This is, of course, the ultimate opportunity to switch things up a little and give their newly-launched Black Cherry Cleansing Balm a go. I already adore the formula and hail it as one of my top three cleansers, and cherry is my absolute favourite scent so I already know this product is going to have my heart. I’m just going to have to find a way to justify the £49 spend.
