24 fail-safe Christmas gifts for her across beauty, fashion, home, fragrance and more

My love language is gift giving, which means as the festive season approaches the joy of giving truly takes centre stage. I get a lot of warmth and reward out of picking out the perfect presents for my friends and family, and they all know it too, meaning that I’m also the one they come to when they’re not sure what to get that hard-to-buy-for bestie, work Secret Santa or the family member who already has everything.

As the go-to gift guru, my knack for selecting thoughtful presents has become a holiday tradition in itself, and this year, I’ve put together a failsafe gift guide full of gifts for your favourite women to make your festive shopping experience a breeze, leaving more time to sit down with a tin of Quality Street and watch The Muppets Christmas Carol.

Whether you’re shopping for a skincare enthusiast or beauty buff, a fashionista or fragrance fanatic my Christmas Gift Guide for her covers most bases and has ideas for all budgets.

With carefully curated selections for beauty lovers, bath enthusiasts, home decorators, jewellery aficionados, and those who find comfort in cosy moments, consider this your festive bible for mums, sisters, aunts, girlfriends, wives and everyone in between.

Skincare Enthusiasts

Gaia Introduction to Vegan Skincare – £30

For the skincare enthusiast in your life, the Gaia Introduction to Vegan Skincare is a fabulous choice. Priced at £30, this set offers a delightful selection of all-vegan products, providing a mini spa experience at home. The packaging is beautiful and perfect for having on display in the bathroom, and the products are travel-friendly, too, making them ideal for a jetsetting friend or family member. From the Awakening Body Cream to the Balancing Body Oil, the mini set allows users to sample a range of ethical skincare from a relatively small brand. That said, I have no doubt that Gaia is going to blow up on socials in 2024, and with this gift set, you can totally say you got in there first. My favourite has to be the pink Purifying Mask which is infused with pomegranate and hibiscus, which helps regulate sebum production, encouraging cell rejuvenation leaving your skin feeling refreshed, firm, and smooth.

No7 The Beauty Collection – £31.50

No7 is a brand synonymous with skincare excellence, and each year their Beauty Collection 8-Piece Full Size set is a sellout success. Worth £120, the set is currently £31.50 in the Boots Star Gifts, and is a treasure trove for those who seek both luxury and effectiveness in their beauty routine. Containing eight full sized No7 favourites, it’s a fabulous do-all pamper hamper perfect for women of all ages, boasting skincare saviours like the £22.95 Restore and Renew multi action eye cream, as well as makeup picks from the 4D Lift and Curl mascara and a match made lipstick voucher so you can go and choose your own shade. Whether you gift the whole box, or split the contents for stocking fillers, it’s undeniably a bargain with each product coming in at under £4 at the new price (which means you could totally keep your most-loved product for yourself, I won’t tell).

Origins Wake Up & Glow – £39

Another great value Boots Star Gift comes in the form of this Origins Wake Up & Glow limited edition gift set, which is great for girlies with oily or combination skin. It’s worth over £90 and contains some iconic products like the best-selling Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash and Ginzing Energising Gel Cream. Of the five products included, three are full sized, and have been designed to cleanse, brighten, and hydrate day and night. The inclusion of SPF 40 Energy-Boosting Tinted Moisturiser adds an extra layer of protection and radiance, but it’s the Ginzing Into The Glow Brightening Serum that I have my eye on – the multi-action full-size serum brightens the appearance of dull skin on one shot thanks to its Vitamin C and retexturing complex powerhouse duo, not to mention that Origins products are known for smelling incredible. This is such a fab way to trial some of the brand’s range before committing to buying your own full-size, too.

Fashion Lovers

FatFace Boonie Check Scarf – £35

A scarf is such a classic Christmas gift and you really can’t go wrong this year with an on-trend blanket version of the accessory. The FatFace Bonnie Check Scarf comes in at £35, and as temperatures drop, this scarf is not only stylish but genuinely keeps you warm, too. Because this one is black and cream, it’s timeless and will go with any outfit, which is why it was a must-have when I went to Prague this winter. But for those who like to use their accessories to add a pop of colour to a monochrome look, there are some more vibrant options in the Clara and Hannah versions, too. Soft, warm, and bang on trend, it’s the perfect accessory to elevate any winter outfit.

Uniqlo Mini Round Shoulder Bag – £14.90

It’s the viral accessory of 2023 but it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. I’m obsessed with these Uniqlo Mini Round Shoulder Bags and have amassed a small army of them over the course of the last 12 months. They cost less than £15 and are a versatile addition for those who appreciate functionality without compromising on style. The dirt-resistant nylon fabric and water-repellent finish make it ideal for everyday wear, ensuring your essentials stay safe and stylish on the go. I cannot stress enough how much stuff this bag fits inside it, it really is the superior bag, capable of carrying your phone, keys, lipstick, paperback book, camera and much, much more. What’s more is that a small number of stores, including Manchester Piccadilly and London branches, now offer an embroidery service so you could make it an extra special gift by getting the recipient’s initials stitched onto the handle.

Ay That’s Nice Poppy Scrunch – £14

Know a scrunchie addict? Say hello to the Poppy Oversized Scrunchie from Ay That’s Nice, a Staffordshire-based brand who make gorgeous, small batch accessories from deadstock fabrics. Priced at £14, it’s the most gorgeous gift for someone who loves to shop indie, have accessories that no-one else has, and enjoys sustainable style. The red version of this signature scrunch adds a pop of colour and texture to any look, but there is also currently a black version, and striped option if red isn’t your vibe. Perfect for the Christmas party season and beyond, it’s super sturdy and ideal for all hair types, whether you wear it to secure a pony, slick back bun or add it to your wrist, it’s a great way to lean into that ‘pop of red’ trend all over Instagram right now.

Fragrance Fans

Yves Saint Laurent Libre Intense Eau de Parfum – £70

Perfume is a really personal gift, and so these fragrance recommendations are very much to my personal taste. For something incredibly special, my all-time favourite perfume is the Yves Saint Laurent Libre Intense Eau de Parfum, which starts at £70 for 30ml, but you can often get it on offer this time of year. This rich, spicy scent is intense and androgynous, blending tangerine, bergamot and lavender with the likes of tonka bean and vanilla for a warm, sultry fragrance perfect for people who might describe their preferences as ‘on the masculine side’. The gold-accented bottle makes it look the part, too – but I definitely recommend shopping around to get the best price.

Sol de Janeiro’s Cheirosa ’71 Perfume Mist – £22

For something a little more purse-friendly but equally as addictive is the sister-scent to the TikTok viral Sol de Janeiro 62 mist – number 71. With notes of caramelised vanilla, sea salt, and toasted macadamia nut, it’s ‘good enough to eat’ and the scent is very long-lasting. While it’s a stunning holiday-inspired scent, its cosy, creamy notes mean it works as well in winter as it does summer, making for a year-round signature spritz. Worried about whether these £22 sprays are worth the social media hype? You can read my review of some of Sol de Janeiro’s most popular products here.

Marks and Spencer’s Warm Neroli – £6

For fragrance on a budget, you can’t go wrong with Marks and Spencer’s range. I’ve tried a few of their perfumes this year, which are often compared to higher-end bottles in the shopper reviews. My favourite is Warm Neroli, which you can get from £6 for 30ml. This vegan scent, part of the Discover collection, offers a citrusy blend of neroli and bergamot, creating an elegant and uplifting aroma reminiscent of Paco Rabanne’s Lady Million. I’ve bought Jake the Spiced Amber scent as a stocking filler and they really are a fab affordable fragrance that you can use for everyday so you can save your expensive scents for more special occasions.

Beauty Obsessed

Trigwell Cosmetics – from £3

It’s one of the most viral beauty brands of the year, and therefore, it’s no doubt at the top of every makeup lover’s wishlist. Trigwell Cosmetics is one of the few social media sensations that are actually worth the hype, and there was no way I could pick just one product for this guide. You couldn’t possibly gift the sell-out powder puffs without the velvet setting powder (£14.50), for example – they’re a match made in heaven for setting under eye makeup and offering a blurring filter effect on the skin. If you need a dupe of the Dior lip oils that cost £32 a pop, look no further than the Trigwell Lip Oil Set which is £25 for four. Powered by a blend of hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, shea butter, argan oil and coconut oil, the antioxidant-rich oils help to hydrate, plump and smooth your pout and come in four fruity flavours including grape, mango, coconut and watermelon. Stocking fillers sorted. Their latest release, the liquid blush (£16.50) is a dreamy, richly pigmented formula in a selection of soft pinks to sultry corals – like I said, there’s a reason this brand is skyrocketing in popularity.

Boots Best of Beauty Christmas Showstopper Beauty Box – £80

Showstopper by name, showstopper by nature Priced at £80, this limited edition box is a dazzling showcase of 18 beauty products from some incredibly impressive and high-end brands like NARS, Too Faced, Fenty, Huda Beauty, and Sol De Janeiro. Worth a whopping £328.43, it retails at £80, saving almost £250 on the contents. The set boasts 10 full-size stars, including the coveted Too Faced Born This Way The Natural Nudes Skin-Centric Eyeshadow Palette, alone worth £48, while the REN Glow Serum is £50, essentially making the rest of the products free. This online-exclusive collection features firm fan favourites and popular beauty gems that can be used as part-gifts or be given to the beauty-obsessive in your life for a gift that has some serious ‘wow factor’. Honestly, it’s worth it for the two ‘main’ items alone.

Benefit Bestseller Showcase Make Up Gift Set – £34.50

Benefit remains a much-loved beauty brand and has truly stood the test of time, and their Benefit Bestseller Showcase Make Up Gift Set is a great way to save on their most popular products. With a savings of £53.50, this five-piece beauty set is worth £88 but comes in at £34.50, containing their most iconic beauty picks for face, lips, lashes, and brows. The set includes a fun-size Benetint rose-tinted lip and cheek stain, a full-size Hoola matte bronzer – usually £24 alone – and a full-size BADgal BANG! volumizing mascara in intense pitch black, with additional mini treats like the 24-HR Brow Setter and The POREfessional Good Cleanup pore-purifying foaming cleanser, to ensure you’re all set to stay glam on-the-go.

Bath Lovers

Lush Snow Fairy – from £7

Snow Fairy is the scent of the festive season and has been for over 15 years. It doesn’t quite feel like Christmas without it, making it the ideal present for that person who loves to lounge in a bubble bath, or wind down in a hot shower. Scented with bubblegum and sweet vanilla, this world-famous bath and body product is only available but once a year, and because it comes in multiple sizes from £7, you can buy a bottle that suits your budget, too. What’s more is that it’s kind to the planet, too, with a smattering of plastic-free shimmering lustre, in a post-consumer recycled plastic bottle.

Dock and Bay Bath Towel – £37

For a touch of eco-luxury, the Dock and Bay Towel adds a sense of spa chic to any bath or shower routine, and another great one for someone who loves a holiday. Forever fresh, waffle fabric is quick drying, absorbent and super soft, staying soggy-free, even without the heating on. The XL Sinharaja Haven towel is a gorgeous and vibrant design and comes in at £37. It folds down near-flat into its own little pouch which makes it ideal for taking on trips away, too. Superdrug currently has some beaut styles including Dock and Bay’s hair wraps and hand towels so you can really personalise a set.

Boots Premium Salon Hair Heroes Box – £45

For the salon-obsessed, there’s the Boots Premium Salon Hair Heroes Box, which contains over £130 worth of professional grade hair care products for just £45. Filled with shampoos, conditioners, masks and a hair towel from renowned brands like Ouai, Wella Professional, and Coco & Eve, this box ensures the user will be stepping out with salon-fresh locks every day. There are eight products inside, half of which are full sized, including the Wella Professionals Ultimate Repair Miracle Hair Rescue Spray, worth £27, while the Ouai Detox Shampoo is also worth £28. Together, the hair duo surpasses the cost of the box, essentially making the rest of the products totally free.

Home Enthusiasts

Addison Ross Faux Tortoise Serving Tray- £152

The Addison Ross Faux Tortoise Medium Lacquered Serving Tray, priced at £152, is a sophisticated addition to any stylish interior. With a glossy finish and 20 coats of lacquer, this tray is perfect for adding a touch of luxury to your home. Make no mistake, it’s a premium product and one that doesn’t come cheap, but it is absolutely beautiful, a great size and made to last. This is the kind of thing your giftee would have on their coffee table for years to come, making it perfect for that interior enthusiast in your life. Though for something a little more budget-conscious, though, the candlestick holders are a fab pick.

Sophia Frida Leopard Ceramic Figurine – £15

Anyone who knows me knows that this gift is a bit of me, blending two of my favourite things – leopards and pottery. Priced at £15, the chic ornament – available at Superdrug – complements modern home decors with its unique blue and white design, adding character to any room. Its from a brand called Hotchpotch, and if you caught my leopard print lovers gift guide, you’ll see that it matches my blue leopard print cocktail glasses. As such I think my little figure may find herself on my bar cart looking after my tequila.

Rituals The Ritual of Ayurveda Mini Fragrance Sticks Bottle – £18.90

If you know you know because these reed diffusers are the GOAT. I got my first set of these sticks in a LookFantastic advent calendar this year and now the whole family is hooked. Infused with a relaxing blend of Indian rose and sweet almond oil, these fragrance sticks provide a natural and stylish way to elevate the ambiance of your home. The bottles are absolutely beautiful and the fragrances are sensational. This mini version is perfect for smaller rooms in the house and is said to last 4-5 weeks but we’ve found the fragrance to linger longer, but you can also purchase the oil refills from Rituals, so it’s a bit of a gift that keeps on giving.

Jewellery Obsessed

Stackers Classic Jewellery Box – £25

For the jewellery lover, there’s no better gift than a Stackers Classic Jewellery Box Lid. Priced at £25, this beautiful organiser is the perfect starting point to your jewellery box or as a stand-alone piece on your dresser. I bought my sister-in-law the black version last year and got it personalised with her initials to make it extra special. Cleverly designed, the lid layer has space for necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings, and are available in a range of colours, too. What’s more is that whether you go for mini, classic or the larger version, you can add a new layer year after year to create a well-organised and stylish storage solution for precious pieces.

Abbott Lyon Sphere Chain Bracelet and Necklace – £80

If you’re wanting to gift an actual piece of jewellery this year, Abbott Lyon has fast become one of my favourite accessories brands this year. I recently unboxed their gorgeous personalised 12-day advent calendar and there are two pieces I can’t stop wearing. Abbott Lyon’s Sphere Chain Bracelet and Necklace cost £35 and £45 respectively, making for a gorgeous duo, or could be given individually. Crafted with luxury 18k gold-plated stainless steel with an innovative anti-tarnish protective coating, they are water, sweat, and heat-resistant, making these dainty pieces perfect for everyday wear.

Daniel Wellington Watch Quadro Pressed Melrose – £149

I got this gorgeous watch last Christmas to match my engagement ring and is by far my most worn. I got my first Daniel Wellington watch for my 18th birthday and it continues to be my go-to brand for timeless timepieces. The Daniel Wellington Watch Quadro Pressed Melrose is the brand’s first square dial watch in a rose gold plating pressed mesh complete with a green patterned face. It’s also available in silver, with choices of white and black dials. At £149, it is a higher-end gift, but one that will certainly be treasured for years to come.
