Beauty advent calendars are back for Christmas 2026, and this year’s offerings are packed with everything from luxury skincare and bestselling makeup to fragrances, bodycare and pampering treats. But with some calendars costing more than £250, choosing the right one can be a serious investment.
While the advertised value of the products inside can look impressive, it’s just as important to consider which brands you’ll actually use and whether the contents justify the price. I’ve reviewed nine beauty advent calendars this year, from affordable bodycare countdowns to premium collections worth more than £1,000, to help you decide which is worth adding to your Christmas wish list.
I’ve also crowned my top picks for best high-end calendar over £200, best mid-priced offering under £200, and best budget countdown under £50. Here are the nine best beauty advent calendars to shop this Christmas.
1. Best high-end beauty advent calendar: Sephora
Price: £235 | Worth over £1,000
If there’s one beauty advent calendar I’d recommend to anyone wanting to splash out this Christmas, it’s Sephora’s 2026 countdown. The calendar has sold out four years in a row, and this year’s edition is bigger than ever, with 40 beauty treats and 27 full-size products.
Worth over £1,000, the calendar costs £235, making it a significant purchase but one that offers an impressive selection for anyone who loves discovering new beauty products. And if you girl math it, each item averages at less than £6 per item and considering the calibre of brands, it’s seriously impressive.
Inside, you’ll find a mix of makeup, skincare, haircare, bodycare and fragrance from some of the industry’s most talked-about names. Glow Recipe, Merit Beauty, PHLUR, Tower 28 and K18 all feature, alongside 10 products exclusive to Sephora.
For me, the main pull for this one is the fact that I will use every single item inside. With many calendars, there’s often products I’ll give away as stocking fillers throughout the festive season, but the contents of the Sephora haul are simply too good to share.
At £235, it’s certainly not a budget purchase, but for the beauty obsessed, it’s packed full of trending names and fantastic formulas. Consider yourself well and truly stocked for the year.
2. Best mid-range beauty advent calendar: Boots
Price: £150 | Worth £706.99
Boots has delivered a strong contender for anyone who wants a premium beauty advent calendar without spending more than £200. Its 2026 Premium Beauty Advent Calendar costs £150 and contains 27 products worth £706.99, including 19 full-size treats. That means you’re getting a generous selection of products for your money, with plenty of familiar names alongside brands you might be keen to try.
The line-up includes Sol de Janeiro, Rituals and Huda Beauty, as well as beauty staples from Clinique, Estée Lauder, NARS and Benefit. Haircare fans aren’t left out, either, with Amika and Color Wow among the brands featured.
Full-size highlights include Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo and Conditioner, the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, Amika Hydro Rush and MAC Lip Liner. There are a variety of makeup products to experiment with, skincare and bodycare treats to incorporate into your routine, and haircare products that could help refresh your usual wash-day line-up.
At £150, it’s still a considered festive spend, but it’s a more accessible option than Sephora or Space NK while retaining plenty of recognisable premium brands.
3. Best budget beauty advent calendar: Soap & Glory
Price: £43.20 | Worth £93.38
Not every beauty advent calendar needs to cost hundreds of pounds. For a more affordable countdown centred on everyday pampering, Soap & Glory’s 2026 offering impressed way more than I thought it would. In previous years I’ve grumbled about Soap & Glory not featuring newly-launched scents or the limited edition fragrances being a bit ‘meh’ but this year, they’ve won me over.
The calendar contains 24 treats, including the brand’s familiar face masks, shower essentials, fragrance and bodycare products. Expect its signature Original Pink scent, alongside Call of Fruity, Vanilla-licious and limited-edition Velvet Cherry.
Rather than focusing on high-end skincare serums or luxury makeup, this calendar is all about making everyday routines feel a little more indulgent. Think treats for a relaxing bath or an evening of at-home pampering.
I think this one is a particularly good option if you’re buying for someone who already loves Soap & Glory, or to buy and divide into stocking fillers while saving a few treats for yourself, too. It’s currently on offer for £43.20, but be sure to check the Boots website for any additional deals and discounts for this one, too.
4. Best luxury alternative: Space NK
Price: £275 | Worth over £1,200
If you’re happy to spend more for a carefully curated selection of premium beauty products, Space NK’s 2026 advent calendar is another standout option. At £275, it’s the most expensive calendar in this roundup, but its contents are valued at more than £1,200. There are 35 beauty products inside, including 26 full-size favourites, alongside 31 advent calendar exclusives.
The brand line-up includes REFY, Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury, Glossier and VIEVE. There’s also the opportunity to try Medik8’s newly-launched PDRN serum, making this a strong choice for anyone who enjoys keeping up with skincare launches. Space NK has also confirmed there are no repeated products from its 2025 calendar, which is particularly welcome if you’ve bought one before.
What makes this calendar so highly sought after is its focus on premium brands and discovery. It’s a chance to explore products from names you might already love, while trying some you’d have only dreamed of buying, such as La Mer and Augustinus Bader.
The £275 price tag means it’s not for everyone, and it’s worth checking the contents carefully to make sure they suit your routine. But if you’re looking for a luxurious gift for a beauty enthusiast, it’s a great alternative to Sephora.
5. Best fragrance and bodycare advent calendar: ARRAN
Price: £90 | Worth £200
For anyone who prefers fragrance and bodycare to a makeup-heavy calendar, ARRAN’s 2026 advent calendar offers something a little different. Priced at £90, its 25 doors contain products worth £200, with a curated selection from the brand’s best-loved fragrance collections.
The calendar includes selected full-size products, luxury fine fragrance and exclusive items you won’t find elsewhere. This year’s edition also features the stunningly-scented Island Dusk for the first time.
This calendar is cute, cosy and feels very much in the spirit of Christmas. I think it’s a great fit for someone who enjoys discovering new scents, or, due to the travel-friendly sizes, someone who loves a holiday or mini break so that they can take a different scent every trip.
At £90, it sits below many of the premium department-store calendars, making it worth considering if you want something that feels luxurious without spending upwards of £200.
6. Best value beauty advent calendar: Glossybox
Price: £85, reduced from £90 | Worth over £645
Glossybox’s advent calendar is consistently one of the best value for money each year, offering a sub-£100 price tag, but worth more than seven times the price you pay. Originally priced at £90, it’s currently reduced to £85, with 26 products worth more than £645. The line-up includes a generous number of full-size products across skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrance and beauty accessories.
There are some impressive names among the contents, including Commodity Milk Orchid Expressive fragrance, worth £60, Patrick Ta’s Major Headlines Double-Take Cream and Powder Blush Duo, Huda Beauty Easy Bake Blur Primer and Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Intense. You’ll also find Rodial Collagen Booster Drops, alongside products from brands such as Made by Mitchell, Nails.INC, Aveeno and Beauty Works.
It’s a diverse selection that brings together some luxurious, expensive formulas alongside a handful of cheap and cheerful picks, with plenty of products sitting comfortably in between. There’s a decent mix of makeup, skincare and fragrance, which also means the calendar isn’t too heavily weighted towards one category.
At £85, it’s one of the more affordable options in this roundup, particularly given the advertised value of the contents. I’d say it’s perfect for beauty fans who love trying new brands and want a varied selection at a relatively affordable price.
7. Best all-rounder beauty advent calendar: LookFantastic
Price: £120 | Worth over £665
LookFantastic’s 2026 Beauty Advent Calendar is a real all-rounder, with 27 products tucked into 25 drawers and a stated value of more than £665. Priced at £120, it contains 19 full-size products and offers a mix of skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrance and even a home fragrance treat.
Among the highlights are Medik8 Total Moisture Daily Cleansing Gel, Benefit Roller Lash, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze, Clinique Moisture Surge and MAC Fix+ Setting Spray. Haircare fans can look forward to products from Aveda and Color Wow, while the calendar also features a Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa ’40 Perfume Mist and The White Company Amalfi Lemon Home Spray.
This year, the products have been handpicked by beauty industry insiders from Sarah Jossell to Perrie Sian and Keeks Reid, and let me tell you – these are the women that know what people really want to see in an advent calendar. The only area I would have seen explored more is perfume – but there is a dedicated fragrance calendar from the retailer this year, too.
At £120, it also sits between the lower-priced Glossybox calendar and the more expensive Boots and luxury-retailer options, making it a fantastic middle-ground choice.
8. Best wellness and pampering advent calendar: ESPA
Price: £190 | Worth £624
If your idea of festive luxury involves a long bath, a relaxing evening and a little more time for yourself, ESPA’s Moments of Wellness Advent Calendar could be the one for you. Priced at £190, the calendar contains 25 products worth £624, with a focus on skincare, bodycare and sensorial treats designed to make everyday routines feel a little more boujee.
Inside, you’ll find a selection of full-size and deluxe products, including cleansers, nourishing creams and essential oils. The assortment also includes a festive candle and silk accessories, adding a few extra touches beyond the usual skincare and bodycare products.
It’s a more specialised option than some of the broader beauty calendars in this roundup, so it’s best suited to someone who genuinely enjoys ESPA’s skincare and spa-inspired products. At £190, it’s a luxury purchase, but if you’re buying for someone who loves a home-spa evening, self-care and aromatherapy, then it’s bound to be a winner.
9. Best skincare-focused advent calendar: ELEMIS
Price: £225 | Worth £662
ELEMIS is another strong option, especially for the skincare enthusiasts among us. The Ultimate Beauty Advent Calendar costs £225 and contains 25 products worth £662, with skincare and bodycare taking centre stage.
Among the highlights are the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm and Frangipani Monoi Body Cream. The wider collection includes cleansers, toners, serums, facial oils and bodycare, giving you the opportunity to explore more of the brand’s range.
The calendar contains three full-size products, with the remaining selection offering a mixture of smaller, holiday-ready sizes. For existing ELEMIS fans, this is a great opportunity to discover new favourites from the brand. If you’re new to the range, it provides a way to try several products without having to commit to full sizes.
At £225, it is a premium offering – but it really does feel like it, too. The little boxes come ready to hang as decorations, while the contents really do build a complete skincare routine you’ll actually want to stick to.
Which beauty advent calendar is worth buying in 2026?
With nine calendars to choose from, the best option ultimately comes down to your budget and what you enjoy using.
My top high-end pick is Sephora, which combines 40 beauty treats, 27 full-size products and a line-up of cult brands and exclusive finds. If you want a premium calendar packed with variety, it’s the one I’d look at first.
Boots is my mid-range choice, offering 19 full-size products from familiar beauty brands for £150. For a more affordable countdown, Soap & Glory focuses on bodycare and pampering, while Glossybox offers a broad mix of makeup, skincare, haircare and fragrance for less than £100.
If you’re happy to spend more, Space NK is an excellent luxury alternative, while ARRAN is ideal for fragrance fans. LookFantastic is a versatile all-rounder, ESPA is geared towards wellness and pampering, and ELEMIS is a strong choice for dedicated skincare lovers.
Before buying, I’d always look past the advertised contents value. A calendar might promise hundreds of pounds’ worth of products, but that doesn’t automatically make it the best choice for you. Think about the brands you enjoy, the products you’ll genuinely use and whether the calendar offers enough variety to make the countdown feel special.
