The Craft Gin Club bundle perfect for a lockdown Valentine’s Day

Instead of wining and dining, this Valentine’s Day the motto to live by is ‘sit in and gin’! With the ongoing coronavirus crisis, lockdown lovers will be spending February 14 at home, but you can still make the evening special with the Craft Gin Club Valentine’s bundle.

The bundle costs £45 from the Craft Gin Club online shop, which launched in summer 2020, but is worth over £50! It contains everything you need for a romantic night in, from pink raspberry gin to tasty bar snacks.

Craft Gin Club is the UK’s number one gin subscription service with over 120,000 subscribers nationwide. For 2021, I signed up to their quarterly subscription to discover new, independent craft gin brands once every few months.

The exclusive bundle includes:

  • Manchester Gin Raspberry Infused | 40% ABV 50cl
  • Artisan Violet Blossom Tonic | 6 x 200ml
  • Tony’s Chocolonely Dark Milk Pretzel Toffee | 180g
  • Mr Filberts French Rosemary Almonds | 110g

The Manchester Gin Raspberry Infused is a beautiful, fruity pink gin with notes of berry, juniper and citrus. To make the gin, Manchester Gin infuse fresh raspberries before, during and after distillation, giving it its sweetness and shade of pink. It’s a full strength 40% ABV, and costs £37.50 to buy alone on the craft Gin Club shop. Other botanicals in the bottle include: coriander, grapefruit, dandelion, burdock, vanilla, elderberries, cassia, liquorice, grains of paradise and angelica.

I fell in love with the Artisan Violet Blossom Tonic when I first tried it last year. I’m not a huge tonic fan, but this blush tonic water is more sweet than bitter, with citrus notes that make it a match made in heaven with the Manchester Gin. The branding of the bottles is absolutely gorgeous, and they could certainly be upcycled into a little posy vase. The tonic smells just like parma violets, so has quite a nostalgic feel to it, offering the popular and modern ‘parma violet gin’ feel without having to buy a full bottle of flavoured gin. It’s created with 100% natural ingredients, meaning it doesn’t taste at all synthetic, having been designed alongside a multi award-winning bar’s mixologist. To top up your home bar, you can pick up six tonics for £7.77 at Craft Gin Club.

I’ve been dying to try the Tony’s Chocolonely range for so long, having seen Alice Spake rave about them on Instagram. The dark milk pretzel toffee flavour features dark milk chocolate with soft toffee chunks and bits of pretzel. I mean, I can’t promise that this will be shared Lady and The Tramp style – this one’s all mine.

The final Craft Gin Club treat will have you going ‘nuts’ this Valentine’s Day – it’s the Mr Filberts French Rosemary Almonds, which is a super interesting flavour combo that is really moreish. These I might share – they’re also a healthier alternative to other movie snacks, and pair really well with a gin cocktail!

You could organise your own entertaining cocktail masterclass to test your partners mixology skills, or sit back with a perfect serve to watch Bridgerton. Whatever your stay-home plans are, I guarantee it will be better with Craft Gin Club.

Happy Valentine’s Day, and be sure to drink responsibly!
