There’s a Sunkissed Pink Headband to hold your hair back during skincare routines, along with Brushworks Skincare Wristbands that prevent water from dripping down your arms when you wash your face. They’re only small stocking-filler style items, but they’re so useful and bring an element of luxury to otherwise mundane activities.
Another underrated everyday hero is a lip balm, and PrettyLittleThing have included a Carmex tube in a delicious-sounding mango scent. I can’t be without a lip balm, and Carmex is a classic, but I love that they’ve opted for a more tropical flavour over the OG to keep things exciting and make it feel like you’re trying something new. Paired with the Project Lip Biff Lip Scrub, you’ve got a powerhouse duo designed to combat winter dryness to ensure the perfect pout for under the mistletoe.
Tweezers are one of those things I’m constantly losing but begrudge puff duo, all of which are things that need replacing once they get a bit grubby – a task I rarely get around to.
Beyond the practical picks, the calendar includes treats that are more pampering and luxurious. The Starskin Gold Eye Mask is a quick, refreshing treatment to brighten tired eyes, ideal for New Years Day or a midweek pick-me-up, while the Plump It Volumising Lip Oil is a dream over a red lip for Christmas events, and is worth a whopping £23 on its own.
But my absolute top picks from the calendar have to be the Tortoise Shell Open Hair Claw and Mermade Hair Nano Hair Styling Wax Stick. The claw clip replacing, and PLT has sorted me out with not one, but three pairs. There’s also an eyelash curler, a Pink Honey beauty blender and Brushworks powder is a really beautiful design and one that feels more elevated than most, and with tortoise shell being a timeless classic, it’s sure to be a year-round staple. And further improving my hair game, the styling wax stick will help me tame pesky flyaways to help create an effortless yet sleek updo.
Finally, PrettyLittleThing has also considered the upcoming party season, including festive essentials like Boosted Double-Sided Body Tape which will allow you to wear your holiday outfits with confidence. It’s a practical item but feels much-needed for the season, keeping everything securely in place and saving you from any wardrobe mishaps – especially with low-cut and strapless styles.
