Sunset Eye and Two-Tone Lip

Sunset eyes have been all over my Twitter feed this past few weeks. I keep seeing girls with gorgeous tans rocking the look and I was a little apprehensive to try it myself. Being so ghastly pale with cool-toned skin, I didn’t think it would work for me, but I decided to shoot my shot and go for it.

Base:

I started my base with my Natural Collection Radiance Primer to give me a glowy complexion. This is a super cheap primer (£2.49) but is great for everyday! I then used my Revlon Colourstay Primer in 110 Ivory. I’ve not actually fully reviewed this yet, but here’s a quick rundown. This is a foundation for oily/combination skin, is medium-full coverage, the perfect shade for me, doesn’t oxidise too much and is an all-round decent drug-store foundation I’d be happy to repurchase.

To conceal my under eye bags and disguise my chin break-out, I used the Bourjois Radiance Reveal concealer (shade 01). It was my first time trying it and I think the shade is a little bit off, but the coverage is good. To set and mattify my oily areas, I used the Kat Von D Lock It powder which keeps me nice and shine-free all day.

Brows:

I only use two brow products, the first being the Natural Collection Brow Gel in Dark. The second is the Anastasia Beverley Hills Dipbrow in Auburn. Absolute holy grails.

Contour and Highlight:

To contour, I like to go in with a crayon first. I usually use the Model Co one, but for this look I’ve used the Collection one. I then use a touch of Benefit Hoola Bronzer just at the top of my hollows. For a little bit of colour I used the Revlon blush stick. It’s a dusty rose blush with a hint of gold shimmer. To highlight, I love to use a liquid highlighter and this No7 Illuminator is my current fave.

Eyes:

With a super fluffy brush I blended the NYX hot singles in Butterscotch onto my lid. Just below in the crease, I used Realgar from the Anastasia Beverley Hills Modern Renaissance and blended that into the yellow. Right on the lid I used a flat brush and packed Love Letter (ABH Modern Renaissance) onto the lid. I cleaned up the edge with some concealer and swept Realgar on my lower lash line.

To add the glitter I used a small flat brush to apply the NYX Glitter Primer before packing on the NYX pink Glitter Brilliants glitter. There was no fallout and the glitter stays so well. To finish off I used the Benefit BadGal BANG mascara for long, intense black lashes.

Lips:

When I saw these lip colours I knew I colour create a funky lip look with them. These are both L’Oreal Colour Riche Shine Lipsticks in Pursue Pretty and High on Craze. I put Pursue Pretty on the bottom lip and High on Craze on my top lip for a funky two-tone lip.

I feel like this look would make a fab festival look without going overkill on the glitter (not that that’s possible). Alternatively, it’s an extra af look you can rock all summer long!
