As my annual summer family holiday approaches, I’m panic-buying holiday clothes I probably don’t need with money I definitely don’t have but my heart desperately wants needs them. Can’t live without them. No, really. Like, my wardrobe was begging me and my bank card was half egging me on.
I was trying to not walk out of Primark with everything but the kitchen sink, but sometimes that’s physically impossible. £4 tee here, £2 fluffy socks there, the new F.R.I.E.N.D.S collection in its entirety and soon enough you’ve spent £50.
Actually, my splurge didn’t dent the bank too much, as I spent around £25. I promise they were all absolute essentials. Let’s get in to where it went, then!
Sunday Tee £4
T-shirts are pretty much the only thing I can stand wearing in summer, so I’ve been picking up so newbies, including this one. It’s a very pale pink colour, with Sunday in red, which is an unusual colour combo that actually works. This is great for wearing with jeans, skirts, dungarees – pretty much anything. Cost per wear? Practically zero.
Texturising Sea Salt Spray £2
Now my hair is shorter, I really enjoy styling it. For the days my hair is straight, this salt spray is the perfect product to add texture and a bit of a wave. You can spray it into dry or damp hair for that extra bit of oomph on the days your hair just needs a bit of something.
Set of 5 Hoops £1
The bigger the hoop the bigger the…
Well, at £1 I couldn’t say no. I’ve never worn hoops before as when I was in school they were deemed really ‘chavvy’. Now that the high school stigmas have vanished, I don’t mind rocking a pair. £1 for 5 pairs makes them just 20p a pair! I’ve been wearing the second pair down, as the smallest are just too small, but I just aren’t ready for the big hoops. Starting off small, you know?
Tortoise Shell earrings £2
I’ve been searching for something like this for ages. I mean ages. I’d spotted some in other stores but hadn’t wanted to pay a lot for them, so I snatched these up for £2 and I can’t wait to wear them with my O’Neill tortoise shell sunnies – matchy matchy!
Lashes £1
Primark’s lashes are some of the best I’ve tried. The sultry lashes are, in my opinion, the most natural looking, and the most similar looking to lash extensions. Plus, if you lose them on a night out, they were only a quid!
Facemask £1
I found this in the men’s section, and I mentioned in this post that men’s skincare has been working wonders for my acne recently. This is a ‘post shave’ sheet mask, and includes Vitamin E and Witch Hazel, which I figured would aid getting rid of my blemishes.
Tartan Trousers £13
I was very particular about the kind of tartan trousers I wanted. The right kind of tartan, the right style and the right fit. I had seen a few tailored pairs that were all out of my price range, so when I spotted these in Primark I was made up. They pretty much ticked all the boxes and were even cheaper than I was willing to pay. The only thing that would have made these better is a belt loop, however the waist is elasticated, so that’s not really a problem.
Loved this post girl! I love Primark hauls, and especially how you showed photos with you wearing the items! You picked up some great things xx
I LOVE A GOOD PRIMARNI HAUL! I do them all the time! x
Tartan trousers were my dream as a 12 year old and 10 years later i’ve lost count of how many pairs I own! I’m not sure about all the different colours they’re doing now though although I’m sort of warming to the yellow. They definitely go best with DMs, love the styling! Adore that Sunday tee and the tortoise earrings especially, they’re both super cute and such bargain prices! I picked up a cute striped tee for £4 from Primark the other day which much like that tee will go so well with anything this Autumn!
