Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day is this Friday 14 December. The idea behind the event is to get everyone at work, school, or wherever else to get a fundraising pack, and have everyone turn up in a Christmas jumper and donate £1-2 to the charity.
Boohoo have joined forces with the charity and brought out some amazing Christmas jumper designs that will help support the charity. £5 from every festive jumper sale made for Save the Children will go directly to helping children around the world.
I’ve been sporting this ‘Merry Cactmas’ jumper, and I can’t wait to wear it on Christmas Jumper Day. Christmas and cacti are like, my two favourite things, so I got super excited when I saw this on the website. Some Christmas jumper designs can get a little ‘samey’, but I’ve never seen anything like this one!
This jumper is available in black and grey, but I feel the colours and design is more visible on the grey. I am wearing a size XS and it’s still got plenty of room for Christmas pudding and gin! I had planned on wearing it with a green suedette skirt I bought last year, however it would appear that I’ve eaten a few too many mince pies and it doesn’t fit anymore. Instead, I tucked it into this black corduroy button down number and I think I actually prefer this look!
I’ve always worn Christmas jumpers with jeans, but skirts make them so much more feminine and fashionable. You can have so much more fun styling Christmas jumpers when you move away from typically ‘safe’ style choices.
The yellow, pink and purple pompoms make accessorising this look so much more fun! I styled it with some grey chunky heeled boots and my yellow circular bag from Accessorize. The strap of the bag is yellow on the outside and pink inside, so matches the pompoms perfectly! I would love to get some pompom earrings to go with this outfit too.
This year Save The Children are reminding people to wear their jumpers responsibly! ‘Dentists are reminded that jumpers with protruding carrots are not appropriate attire when working with patients. Office workers are urged to take care when wearing tinsel doused jumpers by the shredder and spin instructors. Hot yoga teachers and chefs are advised that woolly knits can lead to excessive perspiration’
You’ve still got plenty of time to order your Christmas jumper before the big day! Order now from boohoo.com and sleigh the ugly jumper trend in style!

I love this jumper! It still looks really pretty with the little skirt instead of being a typical frumpy Christmas jumper!

I haven’t got a Christmas jumper this year and that makes me sad – love the baubles though 😉
