A Peek Inside The Soap and Glory Bubble Act Star Gift

In the run up to Christmas, Boots feature new Star Gifts every week. They’re usually the most expensive products from each brand at half, or better than half price. So far, we’ve seen Sanctuary Spa, Nip and Fab, Ted Baker to name but a few.

The one that always sells out the fastest though, is Soap and Glory – every year. Without fail.

People go crazy for their big Christmas gift set. I got my hands on it last week and grabbed a sneak peek before it was available in store.

For those of you living under a rock, the Soap and Glory Bubble Act gift set is this week’s Boots Star Gift. You can bag it for the bargain price of £30 instead of £60 for £80 worth of products! Wanna peek inside?

The tin has been designed in collaboration with fashion-journalist-turned-graphic-designer Zuki Turner. Zuki said: “It’s a unique blend of S&G’s signature style with my own little twist!” as it features Zuki’s collage style art with Soap and Glory’s classic performing girls.

Inside the tin are 12 full sized Soap and Glory goodies.

The Righteous Butter Body Butter 300ml

Butter up, Buttercup. After a long soak in the bath or a quick shower the first thing you should do after twisting your hair into a towel is grab The Righteous Butter. Massage the body butter into damp skin for a silky smooth feel and instant hydration. The Righteous Butter is a classic Soap and Glory product and will find itself under most people’s trees this year. They are also selling this singularly this Christmas, in a slightly smaller jar, packaged like a little bauble.

Clean On Me Creamy Moisture Shower Gel 500ml

Clean On Me features Soap and Glory’s original scent, and lathers up great on a loofa. I end up with so many of these that I literally have a stockpile – I could open my own Soap and Glory boutique from my bathroom. I like to use Clean On Me as a bubble bath, by running some of the product under the hot tap as the bath runs. It fills the tub with bubbles and the room with that oh so familiar fragrance. These 500ml bottles last so long so this is a great way to use them up a little quicker so you can move on to the next one.

The Scrub Of Your Life Smoothing Body Butter 200ml

*TLC – No Scrubs plays in the background* This body butter is designed to help gently exfoliate the skin with its little beads within the product. Thankfully, these are not plastic microbeads, as Soap and Glory stopped using plastic in their products back in 2014 – they are actually a wax bead that dissolves as you work it into the skin. This is going to work wonders on my ankles and elbows where I tend to suffer the most with dry skin this season.

Hand Food Hydrating Hand Cream 250ml

Who hasn’t got a miniature Hand Food in their hadbag?! I’ve never treated myself to the full sized product, but have an abundance of the miniatures. This full-size Hand Food now sits on my bedside table to use morning and night to keep my hands soft and hydrated! It smells amazing and features shea butter and macadamia nut oil. The pump bottle I far prefer compared to the squeezy tubes and they are perfect for the bedside table, office desk or the bathroom if you’re nice enough to share!

Original Pink Fizz-a-Ball Bath Bomb

Soap and Glory have three incredibly scented bath bombs that you can buy in their Let’s Get Fizz-A-Ball gift set, but the Bubble Act features their Original Pink bomb. This smells of rose and bergamot for ‘pure pampering’. If you decide to treat yourself to this gift set, this is perfect for a Christmas Eve pamper!

The Rushower Dry Shampoo 200ml

Dry shampoo is my saviour. Any uni student or generally just busy gal will tell you that it’s literally a godsend. You thought your hair would look okay on day 2 but actually, you woke up late and your hair is a greaseball because of the styling spritz you used. Spray The Rushower into the roots of your hair and then brush through and you are good to go. We all know how busy the Christmas period can get, so this is a super handy product to have on the dressing table for those days you just don’t have time to properly fix your hair.

Melty Talented Dry Skin Balm 30g

I had never heard of this product until I opened up the Bubble Act and I instantly got super excited. I mentioned earlier that I do suffer from some dry skin, and sometimes my ankles get so bad that they crack and bleed. These desperate times call for desperate measures and usually, I reach for Dr PawPaw original balm. The Melty Talented Dry Skin Balm is a similar concept but smells of coconut and mango so, erm, totally delicious. These multi-purpose balms are great for everything from dry skin, to chapped lips, to moisturising those nail beds ready for your Christmas claws.

Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk 350ml

I have been obsessed with Peaches and Clean since I first started using it back in summer. The fresh, fruity scent makes the mundane job of makeup removal so much more enjoyable. I like to use one pump on a cotton wool pad to remove my makeup, then another to massage into the skin for a deeper cleanse to remove dirt.

Bright + Beautiful Radiance-Boosting Mask

Sheet masks are such a great invention and have really changed the self-care game. They may be single use, but the hydration and the after-effects are so worth it for a quick-fix. This Bright and Beautiful sheet mask is the perfect hangover facemask, probably best reserved for New Year’s Day morning. Say goodbye to eye bags and feel refreshed with the grapefruit and mint fragrance. I’ll be stocking up on these for the party season.

Original Pink Body Spray 100ml

Your new handbag companion. I always carry a cheap and cheerful body spray in my handbag for a quick spritz and freshen up in the day. Individually, this body spray is just £4, and so it’s a very affordable body spray that’s a little more mature than the impulse spray you used to keep in your PE kit. The sophisticate fragrance of bergamot and amber are uplifting for that much needed boost in the hump of your day.

Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss in Bare Enough 7ml

Soap and Glory lip glosses are so bizarre because they tingle so much and make your lips look amazing. Who needs lip fillers, ay? Bare Enough is an incredibly pale nude and so can be worn alone for a sheer glossy look, or on top of your favourite nude lipstick for a poutier, fuller look. For some, the tingling sensation when applied may be a little too much, as it can feel super strange – but if you can stand it, it’s a totally gorgeous lippy.

Thick and Fast High Definition Collagen Coat Mascara 10ml

‘What’s a collagen mascara?’ I hear you ask. Collagen plumps skin, which is why you may hear it featured in many skincare products. So, why use it on your eyelashes? In a similar sort of way, collagen plumps the hairs making them appear fuller and longer. As much as I love the idea behind this product, I am so fussy when it comes to mascara wands and this one just doesn’t do it for me. I far prefer the thin, comb type ones. However, some people really love these thicker wands, so that makes this mascara your best friend for the Christmas party.
