Soap and Glory’s affordable bath and body beauty advent calendar under £50

There’s something about Soap and Glory that makes me feel so wonderfully nostalgic – perhaps it’s their beloved retro-inspired packaging, or the way the smell of The Righteous Butter takes me straight back to being a Sunday girl at Boots and selling it by the boatload. Since its inception in 2006, the bath and body brand has become synonymous with occasions, from birthdays to Mother’s Day – but is particularly popular with Christmas shoppers, who would often queue down the street to get their hands on the best-selling Star Gift. And this year, their advent calendar is set to be a hit with their devoted fanbase.

Beauty advent calendars have skyrocketed in popularity over the last five years, and there are so many to choose from. Not only do they provide the opportunity to stock up on some of the must have makeup and skincare essentials, they also allow you to discover new products across a range of exciting brands. The contents are usually worth at least double the price you pay, meaning you can save money on your stash, or split the products between friends and family over the festive season as stocking fillers as a way to spread the cost further.

And while Christmas may seem a way off yet, advent isn’t, and you wouldn’t want to miss out on unboxing a little slice of luxury each day in December because you forgot to order one, right? Over the next few weeks, I’ll be unboxing some of the best beauty Christmas countdowns for 2023 to help you decide which one to snap up ready for December 1.

This year, Soap and Glory’s It’s A Pinker Wonderland beauty advent calendar is packed with pamper products and self-care essentials that will see you through the festive season and beyond, starring some of the brand’s iconic fragrances from Call of Fruity to Clean on Me.

Housed in a pink book-like box, the calendar opens in a similar way to Revolution’s offering, so be sure to stand it up to open rather than laying it flat, else half of the boxes fall out. Inside, there are 24 numbered boxes in varying shades of pink adorned with disco balls and martini glasses – I mean, the design really is a bit of me.

Soap and Glory are well-known for their product affordability, and their advent calendar is no different, coming in at a purse-friendly £46. The total value of the contents are worth £87.78, so almost double the price you pay, making for a great money-saving purchase whether you intend to gift (or keep) the whole calendar, or use the contents to create pamper hampers or stocking fillers for  sisters, mums, aunties, cousins, mother-in-laws – you get the drill.

Now, everyone has their own favourite Soap and Glory product, be it Hand Food, Clean on Me or Heel Genius – and you’ll be pleased to know that they all feature in the calendar. Some of my favourites include The Righteous Butter Body Butter, which comes as a huge 300ml tub that will last forever. Well, until next Christmas, at least. Another product I’ve used for years and swear by for hangover days are the Puffy Eye Attack Under-Eye Brightening Hydrogel Patches which works miracles on dark circles.

As well as firm favourites, there are also some new products to discover, too, like the Perfect ZZZen Body Milk for a luxurious soak to help melt away stress and tension before bed time, and the Speed Plump Intensely Hydrating Day Lotion which is usually £9.99. The day cream is packed full of skin-loving ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin B5, shea butter and coconut oil to leave skin looking perfectly plumped, smoothed and brightened.

One of the star products in the calendar is the Original Pink Fragrance Rollerball, which is a handbag friendly perfume in the much-loved scent, which features bergamot, mandarin and musk, alongside lemon and lavender oils for a lush and long-lasting fragrance.

At £46, it’s one of the few budget beauty advent calendars under £50 this year with the likes of Revolution (£40) and Holland & Barrett’s (£45). Containing a variety of skin, body and beauty must-haves, it’s a great way to stock up on your Soap and Glory self-care without breaking the bank. If you’re interested to know the full contents, I’ll share the list below in no particular order:
