Lock in, girls, because the beauty advent calendar season has officially arrived – and with it comes the annual conundrum of deciding which countdown is actually worth your money. Every year, beauty brands seem to be upping the ante, with bigger boxes, more premium names and increasingly impressive contents. But Boots has made a very convincing case for giving its 2026 offering a spot on your wishlist.

The Boots 24 Days of Luxe Beauty Advent Calendar costs £150, but contains 27 beauty products worth a combined £709.59. That means you’re getting almost £560 worth of beauty for free – and, even more impressively, 19 of the 27 products are full-sized, accounting for around 70% of the calendar.

Over the last couple of years, Boots has firmly cemented itself as a go-to beauty destination, elevating their high street status by launching hundreds of new and premium names into stores and online beauty hall. This calendar feels like a showcase of exactly that, bringing together makeup, skincare, fragrance, haircare and bodycare from some seriously big names, including Huda Beauty, Clinique, MAC, NARS, Estée Lauder, Sol de Janeiro, Benefit, Caudalie and Laneige, to name just a few.

  • Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Stix High – with either Fu$$y or Fenty Glow at random – full size

The standout for me from a value perspective is the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Lift + Sculpt Eye Cream. It’s a full-size 15ml product worth £65, making it the most valuable item in the calendar. Considering the entire advent calendar costs £150, that one product accounts for almost half of what you’re paying. If you’re already a fan of Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair range, or have wanted to try it but couldn’t quite justify the price, this might just be the time to splurge.

On the haircare front, the brands featured are all of salon-worthy quality. You’ve got an Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner duo, plus Amika’s Hydro Rush Intense Moisture Leave-In Conditioner and Wella Professionals’ Ultimate Color Miracle Leave-in Mask. I might have liked to see one of those masks swapped out for a hair oil to offer a little more of a comprehensive routine, but it must be said that neither of these will go to waste. I get through hair masks like there’s no tomorrow.

Makeup fans have plenty to get excited about, too, from Huda Beauty’s Easy Bake Setting Spray and Benefit’s Badgal Bang! Mascara to NARS’ Orgasm Crave Multiple and a Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Stix in either Fu$$y or Fenty Glow. There’s also an Iconic London multi-use cream blush, bronze and highlight palette, which gives you several products in one.

The featured  MAC lip combination isn’t necessarily one I’ll be keeping for myself – SOAR isn’t quite my shade – but it will make a brilliant stocking filler for my sister, who I already know is a fan of the lip pencil. And that’s actually one of the things I like about a calendar like this: even when something isn’t quite right for you, a box containing 27 products gives you plenty of scope to pass things on without feeling like you’ve wasted your money.

There’s a particularly good selection of skincare, including Clinique’s Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm, Ole Henriksen’s Peach Glaze Glow Niacinamide Serum with Vitamin C and Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask. The Caudalie’s Vinoperfect Brightening Dark Spot Serum is another heavy hitter in terms of value, coming in at £50 for the full sized 30ml bottle. It’s a real cult favorite for fading hyperpigmentation and boosting glow without using Vitamin C.

There are eight products that aren’t full size, but don’t discount them as fillers because the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder Ultra Blur Mini, for example, is just 6g but has a stated value of £23. It’s my all-time favourite powder and despite the mini pot, they last a surprisingly long time.

The 10ml Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid Eau de Parfum is another good example. This fresh yet creamy fragrance is in a handbag-friendly size which is great if you like having a scent with you for topping up throughout the day. But for those craving a more fragrance-focused offering, Boots has actually launched a 12-day scent countdown for £90 this year, too.

Overall, I think Boots has done an outstanding job with this year’s 24 Days of Luxe Beauty Advent Calendar, because even after all of that, there’s still another 10 products to discover inside the countdown. At £150, it’s certainly not a casual purchase, but the £709.59 combined value is difficult to ignore. I suppose the real value lies in whether you would actually buy or genuinely use the contents – but with such a broad mix of well-known brands and everyday beauty staples, there’s a good chance you’ll find several that make it into regular rotation.
