My favourite kind of beauty advent calendar is one that isn’t just packed with a mismatch of products and accessories you’ll use once or twice before forgetting about, but the type that are filled with products you find yourself reaching for time and again for the way in which they enhance your everyday routine. And that is exactly what Rituals has endeavoured to do with their Classic Advent Calendar.
The most affordable of Rituals’ countdowns this year, the Classic Advent Calendar costs £91.90 and is filled with little treats that feel super indulgent, alongside a selection of daily heroes that feel a little bit boujee. From best-selling bath and body care to home fragrance and beauty, its got a great mix of products that are a dream for any Rituals enthusiast, but equally a great opportunity for newcomers eager to experience the brand for the first time.
The calendar is designed to look like a traditional Amsterdam-inspired canal house, complete with 24 beautifully illustrated doors. Behind them, shoppers will find a selection of little luxuries which boast a combined value of £166.90.

My sister-in-law raves about this ultra-hydrating product, which is infused with calming jujube and the floral scent of lotus flower, so I can’t wait to give it a go for myself. The Ritual of Karma Mild Body Scrub Paste is designed to gently exfoliate to reveal smoother, radiant skin, while The Ritual of Hammam Body Lotion Mousse has a lightweight, whipped consistency that feels as delicious as it smells.
Hair care enthusiasts will appreciate the Elixir Collection Miracle Keratin Recovery Hair Mask, a rich formula designed to strengthen and revive hair. It’s joined by the The Ritual of Ayurveda Shampoo and Conditioner, both in generous 70ml sizes, which work together to nourish and hydrate hair, leaving it soft and fragrant. And to round off a spa-like shower experience, there’s The Amsterdam Collection Foaming Shower Gel, offering a luxurious lather in a travel-friendly 50ml can, which makes it great for holidays, too.
In our house, Sundays are for blitzing the house and lighting all of the candles, and on each Sunday throughout December, Rituals has included a mini candle from the Private collection, which feels exceptionally thoughtful. Perfect for creating that warm, cosy atmosphere, the candles come in Sweet Jasmine, Suede Vanilla, Smooth Violet, and Wild Fig scents, all of which smell rather expensive.
For those who enjoy little luxuries in everyday life, the calendar includes treats like The Ritual of Sakura Kitchen Hand Balm – a generous 85ml bottle that protects hands from the harsh winter – and The Ritual of Namaste Micellar Water, which gently yet effectively cleanses and refreshes the skin, making it an excellent companion for your daily skincare routine.

A personal favourite for me though has to be the Scent Booster & Softener in 1 Jing for your laundry, which will have everyone desperate to know what you’ve washed your favourite jumper in.
