Liberty London is the epitome of luxury, and when it comes to their beauty advent calendar, they certainly live up to their reputation for delivering some of the most coveted, premium brands and products. This year, their calendar is worth a cool £1,205 and is priced at £260, so while it’s one of the more expensive countdowns available for 2024, it’s an impressive investment for high-end beauty lovers.
The hotly-anticipated edit of 28 products features a luxurious blend of iconic cult classics, rising niche brands, and newly launched favourites. With 18 full-size offerings, this advent calendar is a seriously self-indulgent treat for anyone with expensive taste when it comes to their makeup and skincare routine.
I audibly gasped when I opened one of the drawers to find some of the products were from brands quite literally beyond my wildest dreams. In fact, I don’t think I’d have even dared to dream of owning a La Mer The Lip Volumiser – a full-size item valued at £72 – until I discovered it in the calendar. Known for its rich, nourishing formula, this product is designed to leave lips plumped, hydrated, and beautifully glossy, making it a quintessential pick for the colder months.
The skincare line-up is just as impressive. Sunday Riley’s full-size Good Genes is a complexion powerhouse, with the lactic acid treatment continuing to be a cult favourite for its brightening and exfoliating abilities. And the Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream also comes in a full-size 15ml – worth £74 – and will undoubtedly be a highlight for skincare devotees. Known for its deeply hydrating and rejuvenating properties, this luxurious cream is beloved by celebrities for its anti-ageing properties, and if it’s good enough for Posh Spice, it’s good enough for me.
When it comes to makeup, Byredo’s Lipstick (£45) in the shade Reunion will delight anyone who loves a bold red lip. This intensely pigmented, creamy formula is the ultimate shade for Christmas parties, but will no doubt be my go-to for when I need a little confidence boost, too. Equally noteworthy is the Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex Eyeshadow in the shade Emily – a shimmering, richly pigmented shadow that delivers a dazzling finish perfect for holiday parties or elegant evening looks.
If fragrance is your vice, there’s a great variety of handbag-friendly picks in the calendar, so you can mix and match in the coming months to find your new signature scent. There’s a little something for everyone, too, from the floral freshness of Ex Nihilo Fleur Narcotique Eau de Parfum, to the rich, sensual notes of Liberty LBTY. Ianthe Oud Eau de Parfum, which is my personal favourite. For those who adore home fragrance, two charming candles are also included: the Granado Tonka Scented Candle and the Liberty Wild Flower Scented Candle, both of which promise to create a cosy atmosphere and have visitors begging to know what you’re burning.
