The LookFantastic Beauty Advent Calendar is something of an OG in the beauty advent calendar world. It’s been around for well over a decade and has become a festive staple for beauty lovers, so expectations are always high when a new edition rolls around.

For 2026, the calendar costs £120 but is worth over £665 – averaging out to £4.44 per item. Considering the lineup features major brands like Elemis, Medik8, MAC, Laura Mercier, and Sol de Janeiro, it stands out as one of the most tempting countdowns of the season.

The haul brings together 27 products behind 25 doors, including an impressive 19 full-sized finds. One of the strongest aspects of this year’s edit is that the products have been handpicked by beauty industry insiders from Sarah Jossell to Perrie Sian and Keeks Reid.

Spanning skincare, makeup, haircare and bodycare with a home fragrance product thrown in for good measure, the countdown caters for every kind of beauty lover. The only area I would have seen explored more is perfume – but there is a dedicated fragrance calendar from the retailer this year, too.

If skincare is your main reason for investing in a beauty advent calendar, there’s plenty to unbox here. The Medik8 Total Moisture Daily Cleansing Gel is great for a second cleanse or morning cleanse, and is a product you’ll use daily, making it feel particularly useful. Clinique’s Moisture Surge moisturiser is a familiar favourite for anyone who enjoys lightweight hydration, while the Elemis Pro-Collagen Night Cream is worth £78 for the 30ml deluxe size, making it one of the highest-value products in the calendar.

There’s more for those who enjoy a pampering moment, too, like the MZ Skin Hydra Lift Golden Facial Treatment Mask and LF reusable eye patches, perfect for a Sunday self-care reset.

The makeup selection is seriously strong, too. Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Setting Powder Ultra Blur is one of my personal favourites, especially seeing as it’s my go-to powder. It helps control shine without leaving my skin looking flat, dry or cakey, and paired with the MAC Fix+ you full glam won’t be going anywhere.

The Benefit Roller Lash mascara is still extremely popular, with a wand that captures even the smallest corner lashes for a lifted effect. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze also makes an appearance, perfect for achieving that fluffy, laminated look. Elsewhere, the Made by Mitchell Blursh in Strawberry Cream brings a pop of colour to the selection, while The Beauty Crop’s Glow Milk Lip Oil finishes off the look perfectly. There’s something for pretty much every stage of a makeup routine, which will no doubt come in handy over the festive season and beyond.

Moving onto haircare, I was thrilled to unbox the full-sized Aveda Cherry Almond Softening Shampoo and matching Conditioner. Premium haircare can be an expensive treat to buy regularly, and these are worth £47 combined, so it’s a lovely opportunity to try the range without having to pay for both products separately. These smell unreal – literally like a cherry bakewell. I can’t wait to use them. There’s plenty of post-wash products too, with Color Wow’s Kale Cocktail and Hair by Sam McKnight Cool Girl Texture Spray both included.

Also worth a special mention is The White Company Luxury Room Spray in Amalfi Lemon. As a new homeowner, I’m always happy to find something that makes my house smell lovely. I particularly like that this isn’t a traditional festive scent, instead, it’s fresh and zesty, meaning I’ll reach for it long after the Christmas decorations are put away.

The Laneige Vanilla Lip Glowy Balm is a handy addition for keeping lips feeling comfortable during the colder months, while the Aveeno Skin Relief Body Oil Spray is another product I already enjoy using, particularly when I want my legs and arms to have a healthy-looking glow.
