If you’re looking for a dress you can wear all summer long, from wedding guest and date nights, to girly shopping and holiday vibes – then you’ve just found it.
I wore mine for the first time in Nantwich last week, and it’s fast become my go-to midi of the season. The length is more ‘midaxi‘, longer than your average midi but doesn’t feel like it’s dragging on the floor It means you can comfortably wear sandals, trainers or heels without anyone standing on it in the queue for the ice cream vendor, or feeling like you’re kicking it from under yourself to avoid tripping yourself up.
The dress – which costs £60 on the Chi Chi website – features an on-trend square neckline, and ruffle straps. I love that it’s sleeveless because it’s perfect for when the weather is hot and you don’t want to feel trussed up or restricted. The back detail is absolutely stunning, with an elasticated waist and tie back, making it really comfortable to wear – as well as adjustable.
You can wear certain bras with it too, with the straps being hidden by the ruffles. You can also tie the back tie around the back strap to disguise it, which keeps your bow looking neat all day. From the waist down, it offers soft pleats, which add movement and shape to the piece, finally showing off any fancy footwear.
I styled my Chi Chi London dress with a pair of white embellished trainers, but it looks equally as laidback with a pair of leopard print sandals. I added gold jewellery, including my Daisy necklace and some statement earrings, alongside a woven bag with sage detail and gold shell hardware to finish the look.
