It’s been so long since I’ve written any beauty or lifestyle related content. I can’t remember the last time I had half an hour to set up a flatlay to photograph any products. That’s third year university life for you! I managed to sneak a Saturday morning off from my work and projects to get together some products I’ve loved using recently, as well as a few home and fashion bits and bobs thrown in.
Here are some of my recent favourites that I think you guys would love too!
Dermalogica PreCleanse
Since Dermalogica sent me this in February, I have loved using it every evening before bed. I use one pump and massage it into my skin as I watch my makeup literally melt off my face. I’m usually a little afraid of oil-based products, but this feels so luxurious and spa-like and doesn’t leave me feeling greasy. Out of all of the Dermalogica products I was sent, this is definitely my favourite. I’ll be doing a full review of all of the products soon, so keep an eye out for it!
No7 Beautiful Skin Blemish Defence Serum
You may have seen in this skincare post that I didn’t use serums, mostly because I hadn’t found one I liked. This is a new-ish release from No7, and I got it for a bargain £7.40 with a coupon. It has found itself in my daily skincare routine and I have noticed my skin looking much clearer since!
Soap and Glory Puffy Eye Attack
I loveeee this little pot. The eye cream is a really thick consistency, so you only need to dab your finger in it lightly before dotting it just beneath your eyes. As a uni student in the third year of my degree, you can imagine the kinds of late nights and early rises I’m having, so Puffy Eye Attack makes me look a little more human and a little less zombie.
The Body Shop Coconut Hand Cream
This was gifted to me by Jess after I won one of her giveaways. I am constantly applying hand cream, and have a huge bottle of Soap and Glory Hand Food by my bed. I love this The Body Shop cream to throw in my handbag. Anything that smells of coconut gets a thumbs up from me, especially with the warmer weather creeping in.
Dr Jart+ Black Label Detox BB Cream
Let me tell you a little story. Just over a year ago, I was browsing the Boots clearance section as I always do, and spotted a little BB cream marked up at £1. I picked it up and took it to the till and thought, even if I hate it, it was only £1. I absolutely loved it and wore it almost every single day. That BB Cream was the Dr Jart+ Platinum Beauty Balm, which has now been discontinued. I have tried to find it everywhere, but to my dismay, it was nowhere to be found. The closest match was this Black Label Detox BB Cream, which I picked up in Sephora in NYC for $38. I love it so much due to its creamy texture, great coverage and the fact it blends to your skin shade.
Mac Lipstick in Whirl
Mac lipsticks are my favourite formula, especially their matte range. Velvet Teddy has been my everyday lippy for as long as I can remember, but I was lusting after a slightly darker nude. I picked up Whirl whilst I was at the airport and it is the perfect shade. It also pairs well with the Spice Lip Pencil that I already used with Velvet Teddy.
Mac Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Dance With Me
I already have Simply Smoked and Oh Lady in the Retro Matte Colours, but I have been desperate for the perfect red, matte lip colour for years. I’m very fussy and it has to be the right shade and the right formula, last all day and not feel weird on my lips after a few hours. I went with Dance With Me which is a deep, cranberry red which lasts all day and doesn’t budge.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Dolce
I’ve never been much of a pink lippy gal, but this ABH liquid lipstick that Jess sent me is to die for. It’s velvety and a great shade for spring! I’ve only ever used SBH’s dipbrow, but now I may have to start using more of their products, too.
No7 Blush in Honey
You can pick the No7 blushes up for just £6 if you have a voucher, and this shade in Honey is my favourite shade ever. It’s a really subtle nude shade which just adds a touch of colour back into the cheeks without it being obviously blusher. I like to pair it with my Benefit Hoola bronzer. I use this to contour in the hollows of my cheeks, and No7 Honey to soften it towards the apples of my cheeks.
Boohoo Galactic Mist Highlighter
Who doesn’t love a highlighter? Whilst I do favour liquid or cream products these days, you can never have too many highlighters. I find powder highlighters are great for brow bones and inner corners of your eyes.
Spectrum 5 Piece Mermaid Brush Set
I picked up a set of these in the Boots Boxing Day sales, because I am obsessed with Spectrum’s brushes. My favourite is the angled brushes because they are amazing for conouring. I also thought that you guys would love them too, which is why I’m giving a set away over on my Instagram (ends 24 March), so get over there and enter the competition!
Tortoise Shell Sunglasses
£2 Primark sunnies will always have my heart. Of course, I have my FeelGoodContacts O’Neill sunglasses to protect my eyes from UV rays, but you gotta have some super cheap, funky sunglasses to complete those SS19 pics for the ‘gram.
Leopard Trinket Tray
Leopard print is still on trend and I’m eternalising it in my new office with pink, mustard and leopard print furnishings. This cute little tray is perfect for keeping little earrings or rings safe! This little beaut is just £4.99 at New Look.
Tortoise Shell Earrings
Primark strikes again with the cheap, yet totally on-trend and stylish accessories. These were reduced to just £1 and they look great with this pinafore, which is also a Primark number.
Snake Print Ankle Boots
Last but not least are these stunning western vibe, snake print ankle boots. These were reduced to just £5 in Primark and there was only one pair of size 5’s left so I clutched them to my chest and practically ran to the checkout. They’ve barely left my feet since.
The No.7 blushers are so lovely! I absolutely love mine. x
I’m using Dermalogical at the moment and I love it! x
Oh wow! Those brushes are stunning! I love your picks!

The No7 serum sounds good, is it matte? I find blemish related products dry for my skin but I have dry but blemish prone skin so its a nightmare finding a good one lol

I adore MAC Whirl so much! xx
I’ve got that coconut hand cream and I love it too x
I’m loving the dermalogica cleanser too, it is so so good!
