I love having beautifully manicured nails. I’ve been getting my nails done (or doing my own) since I was about 13. Back then, an acrylic tip wouldn’t stay on my nail for longer that about seven hours, and even now it’s rare I get acrylics. Perhaps once a year for special occasions I will splash out and get a design set. More frequently, I gel my own nails, or act as a guinea pig for friends who have recently passed their training.
I also regularly buy glue on nails, either pre-designed from Primark for about £1.50, or a pack of clear Elegant Touch from Home Bargains (£2.50) and paint them myself. One thing I hate? Nail glue. I hate the way it gets all over your fingers and takes a good two days to remove. I hate the way it bubbles around the edges of your nails and where your natural tip meets the back of the falsie.
I’ve discovered a false nail that will take you less than ten minutes to apply, with absolutely no glue and no mess, and will last longer than your gel manicure.
Friends. Meet ImPRESS press on nails and the reasons you will love them.
Different designs
Alex Silver PR send me three different designs, all of which are beautiful – but there is plenty more where that came from. ImPress have tonnes of gorgeous nail designs which all feature accent nails. The designs that I tried were Beautiful Life (blue set), Yeah Boy (marble set) and NAME (glitter set).
Easy to apply
There is no glue, which means no mess. Instead, there is adhesive gel on the nail, where you peel back the tab, align with the nail bed and press. It really is that simple and takes about 10 minutes to apply.
Long lasting
A lot of people are skeptical about press on nails without glue. I was. I’m the first to peel offmy gel polish or bite off my acrylic nails after they start to lift. I applied the first design set on a Saturday night, wore them to a Dachshund Diner in Manchester, and to work all week and removed them seven days later so I could try another pair, but could have easily had them last another week.
Looking after these nails, you would easily get two weeks’ wear out of them, as I didn’t have a single one pop off.
Size variation
I have tiny nail beds, so when buying falsies I always worry whether or not I’ll find nails that fit my smallest pinky finger. The ImPRESS nails come in 30 sizes and so you’ll be sure to find one that fits. It means there will still be 20 left over for your mum or sister to steal from you!
Practical
The ImPRESS nails are actually a similar length to my natural nails. This means that they aren’t too long preventing me from doing anything. I also don’t have to cut my nails down to apply them.
They even look quite natural, as people have asked where I have had them done!
Inexpensive
These nails come in at around £7-9 depending on where you buy them. When they last over a week, that’s great value and so much cheaper than getting acrylics. You can actually stock up on around 4-5 pairs for the same price as a professional design set of nails.
These look fantastic! I never had my nails done professionally or even bought a pack of the fake kind because I don’t want to use the glue. I have strong nails but I’m nervous about using glue because it may weaken them. This is the perfect alternative! I want to try a pair for vacation so I don’t have to worry about my nail polish coming off! Hope I can find this in the states 🤔👏🏾
